E-W Framework CEDS Connections and PowerBI Report

AEM Corporation is thrilled to announce the release of comprehensive CEDS Connections and a Power BI report developed for the Education-to-Workforce (E-W) Indicator Framework! These resources are designed to empower organizations, policymakers, researchers, and collaborators within the education sector with information that allows them to monitor educational progress and improve outcomes nationwide.

CEDS Connections

Common Education Data Standards (CEDS) Connections define the Framework's indicators as "recipes" to calculate the recommended metrics, including data elements and step-by-step analysis guidance. As of November 2024, Connections are available for select indicators in the Academic Progress and Completion domain. Connections are linked from relevant indicator pages on our website (e.g., enrollment in public pre-K), or you can find E-W Framework Connections by visiting CEDS Connect and filtering by Category: Education-to-Workforce (E-W) Indicator Framework.

PowerBI Report on Postsecondary Enrollment

The versatile Power BI report Postsecondary Enrollment Directly After High School Graduation not only combines critical insights needed to support students as they progress from one education level to the next, but also comes with open-source code, available in the E-W Indicator Framework’s GitHub repository on the CEDS Collaborative Exchange, for easy implementation by states. States that use the CEDS Data Warehouse can easily adapt this code to generate tailored reports, like the one shown below, for their own needs.
